Almost a third head to the slopes without travel insurance
Almost a third head to the slopes without travel insurance
London, UK (Vocus/PRWEB) 6 April 2011
Research from the Foreign Office has revealed that 31 per cent of UK travellers admit to heading off to the slopes without investing in travel insurance. The Post Office urges UK end of season skiers to remember the importance of adequate travel insurance on any holiday, particularly on activities like
skiing and snowboarding.
Many standard travel insurance policies do not cover sports such as skiing and snowboarding. However, travel insurance providers such as the Post Office do offer additional ski and other extreme sports travel insurance cover on top of standard travel insurance cover.
Post Office Travel Insurance reminds holidaymakers that a simple check to make sure any travel insurance covers any sporting activity they might partake in could avoid a potentially costly payout.
The Post Office offers a range of travel insurance policies for those heading on an end of season skiing break, including single trip and annual travel insurance. Specialist travel insurance policies will ensure that you are covered against a range of possible issues, from injury to lost or damaged equipment.
